Google has a program “local experts” in the Google Maps service, to enable users to talk about familiar places and help other customers. Gaining points, virtual guides raised their level and received awards, for example, 100 GB storage on Google Drive for years. Interestingly, earlier for this offering 1 TB at two years, and now the company decided to altogether remove reward for achieving level 4. For those who wish to get free 100 GB of cloud space, the Google recommends to hurry up and do it until 17 March.
Google substantiated its decision by the fact that the number of participants in the program increased significantly, so it was decided to revise the conditions of remuneration. Meanwhile, the company has promised for years to add new features and awards for the most active guides.
