[GUIDE] How to extend BlackBerry Z10 battery life .

How much battery life you consume may vary, depending on how you use your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone. To help your battery last longer, try any of the following tips:

Rogers Codes

Check for BlackBerry 10 OS Updates

Whenever a new BlackBerry 10 OS update is released, make sure to install it on your smartphone so that you can take advantage of any available optimizations which can help improve your battery life. Typically, you’ll receive a notification of a new update, but to check for updates manually, open Settings, tap Software Updates followed by Check for Updates.

Tip: To access your BlackBerry Z10 Settings, swipe down from top of the screen while viewing your Home screen and tap Settings.

Connections

The radios on your smartphone are designed with efficiency in mind, so turning off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or NFC as well as changing your cellular connection to use a different network technology may not improve battery life. We recommend using Wi-Fi whenever possible because it offers substantial power savings, so make sure you are actively adding Wi-Fi networks and hotspots to your smartphone as you come across them.

Note: If you’ve set up Media Sharing on your BlackBerry Z10, considering turning off it temporarily if need to maximize your battery life.

Charging

The BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is designed make efficient use of the battery; however, you should still follow best practices to maximize your battery’s lifespan. Always use an official BlackBerry charger, charge for an extended period of time when possible, avoid charging in small increments (i.e. less than 15 minutes), and do not your leave smartphone in direct sunlight (i.e. your vehicle’s dashboard) or in extremely cold temperatures.

Accounts

  • Whenever possible, it is recommended that customers use Active Sync or IMAP over POP when setting up a new account because they are more efficient protocols for a mobile device. If you need assistance setting up a new account, review the BlackBerry Z10 User Guide or contact your account provider for more information.
  • If you have set up multiple accounts that support email, contacts, and calendar synchronization, enable synchronization for accounts that you only plan on using; this will ensure that any activity that occurs is necessary. To review account synchronization settings, tap Accounts within Settings followed by tapping the account you want to customize and/or delete.
  • Remove any accounts that you are no longer actively using to reduce overhead and to prevent them from using the battery to stay updated.

Notifications

If you receive many notifications throughout the day, make sure you review and customize your notification profiles. For example, if your smartphone is set to vibrate, this will use more battery life than having the LED light up as more notifications arrive. If you receive a lot of notifications overnight as well, swipe down from the top of the screen after locking your smartphone to enable Bedside Mode, which will turn off all notifications overnight.

Screen Brightness

A significant way to reduce battery usage is to decrease the brightness of the BlackBerry Z10 display. Within Settings, tap Display and move the Brightness slider to a reduced setting that you find comfortable.

Lock Screen

To prevent accidental taps and presses that can turn on your screen (and decrease battery life), lock the screen by pressing the Power/Lock key on the top of your smartphone.

Screen Lock Timeout

In addition to using the Power/Lock key to lock your screen, an important setting that you should customize is the Screen Lock Timeout. This setting controls how long your smartphone will wait before turning off the screen after being left idle. The less time that the screen is on, the more battery is conserved. To adjust this value, go to Settings, tap Display and change the Screen Lock Timeout.

Use a Case or Holster

Depending on which of type case or holster you are using, putting your BlackBerry Z10 in it may or may not turn off the display. On top of protecting your smartphone, using a case that turns off the display is a great way to save battery life. To browse a variety of these cases, visit http://www.shopblackberry.com or check the available cases that are provided by your local retailer(s).

Note: If your screen does not turn off when you insert your BlackBerry Z10 into the case or holster, verify that you are using an official BlackBerry accessory or contact the manufacturer for additional assistance.

Review Application and Game Refresh Settings

It’s a good idea to review the refresh settings within your favorite third-party apps and games, as some of them might maintain active connections to services or data that is still being transferred.

To learn about a feature on your BlackBerry 10 smartphone or troubleshoot an issue, there are several great options available to help. Videotron Canada HTC 8S hands-on

One of the first Windows Phone 8’s, but does this mid-range handset impress?

HTC Windows Phone 8S

Videotron HTC Windows Phone 8S Instrucciones Liberar

Features
While the HTC Windows Phone 8S comes running Microsoft?s hotly anticipated mobile operating system, it?s powered by a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. That?s slower than the 1.5GHz CPU driving the HTC?s 8X. Of course the Qualcomm S4 is a worthy performer and Windows Phone has traditionally proved to be an efficient OS requiring less muscle to push along. It?s likely that WP8 will similarly be light and frothy.

If you snap photos with your phone often, then chances are good the 8S won?t float your boat. Equipped with a 5-megapixel camera that lacks the BSI sensor found in the Windows Phone 8X, I doubt image quality under low-light conditions will bowl you over. Of course HTC says the 8S has the same fancy imaging chip used by the 8X and HTC One class devices, so snapping pictures should be quick.

Bell Blackberry Q10 Review

  Bell Blackberry Q10 Instructions Déverrouillage

Bell Blackberry Q10 Instrucciones Liberar

The new BlackBerry Q10 by RIM is a smartphone with a physical keypad and is powered by the 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, same as the one featured in the BlackBerry Z10 touch screen smart phone. It is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Some BlackBerry loyalists may fancy the Q10 more than the Z10 as it retains the iconic physical BlackBerry keyboard and resembles the BlackBerry Bold line of smartphones. With a 3.1 inch screen size, the Q10 features an AMOLED touch screen display. The keys on the keypad are straight instead of the classic curved keys found in earlier BlackBerry phones. However, it does sport similar sculpted edges and frets and will feel familiar to old BlackBerry users. With an all-glass back plate reinforced by a resin weave for extra durability, the Q10 is claimed to have a premium design touch in comparison to existing BB mobiles. Blackberry Q10

The speed of the Q10’s camera is impressive and it focuses and captures images pretty fast. What may be a turn-off for some users is the lack of more shooting modes, HDR and ISO settings. Comparing with Z10, its touch screen sibling, the Q10 has a bigger 2,100mAh battery which is surely going to offer longer charge and thus will be an attractive option for power users. It would certainly help while you’re having those long chats with your friends on the Nimbuzz application. The BlackBerry Q10 is expected to hit the US market in April 2013. Stay tuned for more. For all of you who love to stay connected we have some good news for you! We didn’t waste any time in developing your all time favorite messaging app for the Blackberry 10 OS.

How to Hard Reset HTC Desire / How To Reset user password of HTC Desire

Performing a HTC Desire hard reset / Bravo / Passion factory reset

You can return your phone to its original state, as it was when it left the factory. This is also called a hard reset. You might want to do this if you are giving your phone to a friend or relative and you want to remove all your data first, or if your phone has a persistent problem
that is not solved by powering off the phone and then powering it on again.

A factory reset is a drastic measure. It permanently erases all your personal data and customized settings, and also removes any programs you have installed. Make sure that you have backed up the information and files you want to keep.

If your phone hangs or freezes, we recommend that you do a “soft” reset instead of a hard/factory reset. To perform a soft reset, remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, and then re-install it. After re-installing the battery, turn on the phone.

Performing a factory reset via settings

The most convenient way to do a factory reset is via the phone settings.

  1. Press HOME > MENU, then tap Settings.
