Google, Apple, Amazon and Microsoft have long been developing virtual assistants on the basis of artificial intelligence systems. Now, this list can be added and Samsung. Today the company announced its own version of a virtual assistant – Bixby.
How is it different from others?
Samsung’s approach to the “artificial intelligence” in the smartphone is a little different from the same Siri or Cortana. This is not a database, which allows the user to ask questions or to set certain phone tasks. Bixby is a direct assistant to use modern gadget makes it easy to access all of its functions. And if you say more simply, it is trying to solve the problem of congestion and the difficulty of using software to Samsung devices.
The first smartphone to be Bixby Galaxy S8, which will be announced later this month. The phone will be dedicated button to launch a virtual assistant. In Samsung say that the initial opportunities Assistant will be limited to a small number of pre-installed applications, which over time will add others. First, it will be available only two languages: English and Korean, shortly after the launch will add Chinese and Spanish.
