TmoNews received an inventory system screenshot which suggests that the magenta carrier will release Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (model number SM-T217T) at some point. As you may know, AT&T has been selling the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 since September 2013, while Sprint launched it a month later, in October. Still, the Tab 3 7.0 would be new to T-Mobile customers, who at the moment can buy only the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 if they want a Samsung tablet.
The Tab 3 7.0 is an entry-level device (it costs as low as $199.99 off-contract) featuring: a 7-inch display with 600 x 1024 pixels, Android Jelly Bean, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 3MP rear camera, and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter. Since AT&T’s Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (model number SM-T217A) has LTE connectivity, T-Mobile’s version may also support LTE.
There is no word on when T-Mobile is expected to release the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. Maybe it will launch it at the same time with the Sony Xperia Z1 and LG F3Q (on January 22)? We’ll let you know when we find out.
